[Keys and Interactive player menu]

Hi Guys,

From my time on the server i wished to convey 2 points.

Firstly, on a bum licking point of view - thank you to the owner and all the admin type guys - including that guy called Wade, for all the hard work you all do behind the scenes. I for one am appreciative, (when im not moaning to Simba) about the length you guys go to, to keep us menial kavala civs in order. So a big thank you from me.

Secondly, i nurture a lot of newbies coming onto the server of late and as such (donating 500k a piece to help them from my ill gained profits), but one query keeps coming up .........

"What key do i use for this, what key do i press for that.........."

I know there is a thread on keys in the forums, but for ease of use can this be applied to the map screen, sub heading area. This would be really useful and a big assistance to all newbies and oldies like me.....

If it's FALSE -> It will NOT broadcast your LEVEL UP to the SERVER

 

By default when a player joins the server for the first time, this is set to TRUE.

SO even if you have it set to FALSE you will still see players LEVEL UP if theirs is set to TRUE.

I hope this makes sense. If you have it disabled, no one can see you level up.

Are you suggesting that we should remove this feature? Regardless if players can disable their levels being broadcasted to the server?

Just remove this for crafting and levelling up only. I think the levelling up is personal to you, it makes no different to anyone else what level a player is.

When you meet with players you can see their player level skill anyhow.

To have "Topper has reached level 45 in crafting" announced to the server, invites a scouting mission for that individual. They are not too hard to find and means you stop whatever you are completing at the time.

Yes I agree, If i imagine myself as a player and I hear the words "server wipes" i get a bit cautious on if I should play on that server so you're right. We're a fresh community just starting out and I definitely want to eliminate that thought players may get when deciding to play on our server.

For now, There will be no scheduled wipes for the XtG Altis Life RPG server unless the community wants it or if we do grow a lot and there is too much money floating around the economy.

Mr Elite, I echo these comments.  

Server wipes are also known as community wipes. Coming from 420 I know first hand how we built up as a team over the years and the constant server wipes destroy this over time.

I for one, and i know a few, would seriously consider my future on the server. Good to hear your comments and assurances. Thank you.

Good suggestion, crop dusting final pick up point would be the best location, and is in front of the hangar. 

Would like to see a "land vehicle option" or vehicle garage at the podium at this end of the map also.

Would it be possible to shut off the server announcements for crafting levels being displayed. Am not talking about the player settings you can manually configure, this is purely about the server wide messaging.

It doesn't take a genius to work out what people are doing and enables a lot of unnecessary grieving from certain players, who have an educated guess as to what others are up to.

KOS is the exception, as I feel this is required when the capture zones are working correctly of course.
